When I wake in the morning and I walk by the streets of this city, I see the excitement, the rush from one side to another, the saturation, the lack of tranquility! … Why do we have to subject us so much? Why so much sensitivity to the point of becoming so wild and bizarre?! … And how we envision ourselves in this animalistic transformation?! … The streets are full of homeless people, streets of begging, streets of poverty and inordinate wealth, prostitution streets, peanut selling streets, streets of humans adrift in search of surviving another day. But, after all, the Mozambican always smiles; can cry and smile at the same time, but can smile! …
So, smile, if you can!
