ANUNCIACIÓN JESÚS RUBIO GAMO

ANUNCIACIÓN is a choreographic essay which draws inspiration from the biblical iconic theme (Annunciation). Two dancers test their own bodies on stage to engage in a ritualistic practice which hides frustration, domination, fetishism and desire. The choreography and actions presented serve as a metaphor about European contemporary culture or beauty built upon massacre.

JESÚS RUBIO GAMO
 Jesús Rubio Gamo (Madrid, 1982) is an independent dancer and choreographer based in Madrid. After studying ballet and contemporary dance and graduating at the Royal School of Dramatic Art, Jesús was awarded with a MAE-AECI grant to develop dance studies in a foreign country. He moved to London where he completed an MA in choreography at London Contemporary Dance School (Distinction).
