Paloma Hurtado de la Cruz was born in Málaga in February/ 1987. In 2007 she get the Medium Degree of Contemporary Dance at the Royal Proffesional Dance Conservatory in Madrid. Dancer in some projects (theatre, opera and dance performances) in Andalusia (2001-2004) and Madrid(2004-2007). Between 2007-2015, she works in tenerifedanzalab, a laboratory of contemporary dance resident in the Tenerife Opera House, working with international choreographers (Tino Fernández and Juliana Reyes/ L’explose, Anne Lebatarde/ Ex Nihilo, Edmond Russo and Shlomi Twizer/ Affari Esteri, Ido Yoshiko, Daniel Abreu, Lea Martini and Chris Leuenberg/ White Horse,….).
She began her own professional career in 2012, trying to generate a place to speak through the body about the soul and everything that touch it, in order to share thoughts and emotions, and comunicate from heart to heart with another people. The language she uses is somewhere between contemporary dance, dance-theatre and phisical theatre .In her repertoire: Dakini-2012 (solo), Tulipán en tierra muerta-2012 (duet), Camille Claudel bio-sinfonía-2013 (dance thatre performance directed by Juan Hurtado, premier in Festival de Teatro de Málaga, Teatro Echegaray), Tiana-2013 (solo), 15º al Oeste- 2014 (trio for non conventional spaces), Iwa Pelé-2015 (multidisciplinar performance), Drei-2016 (composed for three short performances: Desert Rose, ääniä & Mintaka, created with the composer Samuel Aguilar).
