Asun Noales, dancer, choreographer and teacher, established OtraDanza in 2007 as a ‘shared peephole’, intended to show her enthusiasm for the body as a primary alphabet in creation, and her eagerness for transmitting ideas and concepts through an ethereal and volatile outline with dance at the core. OtraDanza is a project that, through the interdisciplinary work of artists, is striving to broaden knowledge of the possibilities of dance. It is a new space of shared intentions, a platform which gathers everyone passionate about dance.
Since then, her pieces have been shown at reference contemporary dance venues in Spain, have received several awards and have visited more than 15 countries.
Besides its artistic creation, OtraDanza also has an intense pedagogical activity, which highlights the goOD project (scholarship program for young dancers), the summer workshop “Dansa Per a Tots”, and the program “Mescapacitats”, focused on integration of disabled people.
