The trousseau and her.

Our life is like a cloth. A cloth of feelings, emotions, and shared love stories. The cloth of her life is being danced. It is composed of the small things that give meaning to life, the intimate territory of the room, the home, the femininity, the care and affections.

And now, when the contours of her body are no longer as strong, one has to assume how the remaining lines of the cloth will be. In the bout for the lost steps, the origin of movement is no more than a loving body.

Sensitivity, beauty… Teresa Nieto’s latest work presented at the Abbey Theatre (Teatro de la Abadía) is truly poetry in motion. Teresa is living a glorious moment in her career. She is not affected by awards or the commotion of those times; she stays true to her artistic language. And she does so in the most meticulous way, paying great attention to all details, including music,  wardrobe, light, and the precise props required to create a dream world that can take us back to something we all recognize.  The Trousseau is a magnificent piece unparalleled in recent years on the national stage.
