‘De la Concepción’ (‘From the Conception’) tells us the story of María Moreno.
Who she is, what she thinks, her influences and her preoccupations.
‘Concepción’ is her mother’s name (her origin) and also represents the birth of a new way of dancing, free of influences and of any necessity to surprise and please.
Her revolution is in dancing like dancers always have, without repetition.
Avant-garde and tradition. Her ‘classical’ flamenco is brimming with freshness and truth; there are no tricks.
On this occasion, María Moreno counts on Eva Yerbabuena as stage director and Andrés Marín as musical director, and she is accompanied by an ensemble of unparalleled artists: Oscar Lago, who composed the music for the show, Enrique ‘El Extremeño’ and Pepe de Pura on vocals, Javier Teruel on percussion and Roberto Jaén on palmas (hand clapping) and a special collaborator in the show.
A personal piece, designed to delight and to be enjoyed.
