Ballet Contemporaneo de Burgos is a company with more than 20 years of experience in the landscape of dance in our country, Spain. It has kept on show production market during these years due to a good scenic work and relationship with national and international choreographers and dancers making that this company has become an exhibition platform for a lot of dance creators and interpreters.

Lastest productions:
“PIELESCALLAR” multidisciplinary production that combines dance, poetry, drama and music inspired by Sara R. Gallardo poetess texts, supported by Cándido de Castro stage direction. Elisa Sanz is in charge of scenography and costume design and Samuel Peñas is the composer of music and video, who complete the working group. Each one provides necessary balance to create a complete work.

“LA DANZA Y SU PEQUEÑO PÚBLICO” applauded child and educational show with more that 130 performaces since 2013, that had been seen by more than 20.000 spectators. This project approaches dance with school pupils, meets basic objectives of attracting audiences, training and skills aimed at see a dance show , giving endpoints for the future viewer.

“MACBETH” Adapted by David Freeborough and choreographed by award-winning Amaury Lebrun, this innovative production re-expresses Shakespeare’s dark tale of ambition, witchcraft, and murder through the medium of contemporary dance. This production has been selected by Fusiones Contemporáneas Brithish Theater Festival of Peru to will take place inside of company tour from 15 to 30 Agoust 2016.

“ESTA, NO ES UNA HISTORIA DE MUJERES” was premiered on May 2, 2016 due to 25th anniversary of the company. Contemporary dance, Urban Dance, Pole Dance, Burlesque and aerial dance accompany this story that recreates personal experiences of company dancers  and its choreographers. Two first shows were absolutely packed.

Since 2002 , this company manages renowned Burgos – New York International Choreography Contest. Supported by the Spanish Ministry of Culture, Burgos city and Junta de Castilla y León, next July 27, 2016 will be held its fifteenth edition, it is undoubtedly the most important competition in Europe and one of the best known in the global landscape of dance.
